Excellent!
The merino base layer pants, combined with the base layer hoodie, are excellent! I wore them on my last hunt with COS’s outerwear. My hike into the back hills of Georgia was over a mile in 35-degree weather. This hunt was with my brother, who wasn’t wearing merino or COS clothing—just his usual hunting gear.
On the hike in, I wore only the base layer and carried my outerwear in the DoubleBack Xtreme pack. After setting up my lightweight lock-on stand and climbing sticks, I put on my outerwear, neck gaiter, and hand warmer muff. I was able to hunt all day, about 12 hours.
My brother, on the other hand, was only able to stay for 2 hours. He started getting "the shakes" from sweating during the hike and then sitting still in the 35-degree weather. I was very comfortable and had never been able to sit that long in similar conditions.
All I need now is an orange hunting vest from COS... Maybe they will add it to their list... and maybe merino socks to wear with hunting boots...

Base layer pant
I have tried them and they appear to fit well, draw string is different may take some getting use to. But Hunting season is over, so I am not able to put them to the real test - move around and sit et.
