The warmest, quietest, and most functional parka– ever built for the harshest conditions.

The ColdFjall Sub-Xtreme Parka is the warmest and most functional late season garment you will ever hunt in. We guarantee it. This extreme cold weather option was achieved through purposeful development and meticulous design to where we achieved superior warmth, yet in a level of bulk that still allows you to effectively hunt and maneuver comfortably. Constructed with our jacquard knitted Berber-Wool fabric on the exterior, this parka is dead quiet, exceptionally warm and provides our famous level of concealment. Fleece-Wool paneling in the arms as a second shell, provides less friction and minimal bulk while drawing back your bow or climbing a stand tree. 150 grams of our new innovative QuietLoft-Xtreme insulation is the key warmth provider while an additional layer of Windsulation compressed insulation throughout the parka keeps drafts at bay while allowing for full breathability and additional insulation. Coupled with these 2 insulation layers is a full layer of Windseal-TC3 technology throughout the garment, delivering uncompromised windproof protection. The lower back of this parka also utilizes a full panel of plush rich sherpa for added protection and insulation while a full lining of anti-microbial 3X-Tricot allows for smooth quiet on and off. Our signature “Collarless Collar” double front zipper design adds extra warmth and tucks away neatly when you’re lining up the perfect shot. Two way side zippers, a harness vent in the upper back, and articulated sleeves work in tandem with the sherpa-lined cuffed zippered hand pockets, upper chest pockets, our exclusive Fleece-Flex cuff, and a double drawcord hem system to provide unmatched comfort, functionality, and tactical versatility in extreme conditions. Regular Sizes: M-3XL. Tall Sizes: LT-2XLT.

Seasonality: Late-Season and Extreme-Cold Weather Conditions

Suggested Temperature Ranges: -15 to 25 Degrees F

Use: Outerwear

This garment has a "Shell Systems" fit which is more generous in fit and built to allow moderate layering. Articulation through paneling and sculpting on our garment design moves with your activity while keeping garment profiles discrete with less bulk. We suggest ordering true to size as the fit still accommodates for moderate layering underneath.

    Worked as advertised

I debated back and forth on whether to get the ColdFjall parka and bibs or the same set in the Zone7 Dialed In line. Since I get colder more easily as I get older (I'm 61) I decided to err on the side of caution.

I live in southwest Missouri and do most of my hunting in the southern half of the state. It seems we rarely have long stretches of cold weather anymore, but I have been on stand when it was in the teens and 20s. I am 5' 9" and weigh around 210 pounds - I'm an average built man with a belly. I shoot a longbow and am always concerned about my clothing interfering with my draw. I was told by the COS staff to get my parka and bibs in a size Large, so I did.

I hunted in the set for the first time this morning. It was 34 degrees when I walked out the door. I had a midweight merino base layer on, top and bottoms, rubber boots, and the bibs. I strapped the parka to my 20# climbing stand and carried it, my tree stand pack, quiver, and longbow about 1/8 mile to my hunting spot behind the house. I was warm when I arrived, but not too bad. I got the stand hooked to a tree, threw the parka in the seat, and ascended. After I got settled, I put the parka on and zipped it shut.

I hunted for about 3 hours in a slight north wind and was never cold or even chilly. In colder weather, I always have a glove on my bow hand, but only have a shooting glove on my string hand. Obviously, my string hand gets cold, but those fleece lined pockets on the parka helped out a lot! It didn't take…

    Cold weather

I am looking forward to the weather getting cold enough to be able to Use it. The extra large tall is tight in the chest for a 6,1 240 pound guy with decent length arms. They return and the people that I worked with to get a bigger size jacket was absolutely amazing their customer service is phenomenal I wish more places were like that.
