Our technology
Redefining warmth
Enhanced thermal efficiency through breathability and nature’s best insulator.
Comfort in the field
Obtaining warmth is about breathability
Laminates cannot breathe at anything close to the level you need in order to stay warm while you sit still for hours. They are also extremely loud, especially in cold weather.
Our technologies stop all wind velocities and trap in body heat while breathing substantially better than laminated products. That is the right combination to keep you warm while stationary, and the difference is undeniable.
Nature’s best insulator is air
Nothing else comes close. High loft fabrics, synthetic insulations and natural products such as down all work by trapping and holding air. Our technologies and design techniques leverage that principle to maximize the benefit of trapped air while keeping garment bulk to a minimum, a hard combination to pull off and a necessary one if you still want the dexterity to hunt effectively and comfortably. Our multiple layer design, up to five layers in the ColdFjall Series, allows for layering within a layer.

Layer 1. The barrier.
WindSeal-TC3™
A barrier technology that guarantees 100 percent protection from all wind velocities while allowing maximum breathability and complete quietness, even in extreme temperatures. WindSeal-TC3 is designed to maintain mobility and to eliminate internal friction as well as unneeded bulk.
- 100 percent windproof
- Maximum breathability
- Silent in extreme cold

Layer 2. Compressed insulation.
Windsulation™
A compressed insulation technology that provides weather and wind protection while maximizing mobility. Windsulation is what allows a garment to exceed traditional insulating properties without adding excessive bulk.
- Compressed insulation
- Low bulk
- Wind protection

Layer 3. Trapped air.
QuietLoft™
A polyester high loft insulation that traps air and stays quiet in the coldest conditions. QuietLoft is very light weight and holds its ability to trap insulating air over time, where many high loft poly insulations break down and lose it.
- Polyester high loft
- Light weight
- Holds loft over time
Warm while you sit still
Staying warm on stand is not the same problem as staying warm on the move. It is decided by whether a garment can stop the wind, hold the heat you make, and still let moisture out across a sit that runs dark to dark.
Our technologies do all three, and they are 100 percent silent while they do it.
