Why Code of Silence

Engineered for the Hunter Who Refuses to Compromise

Ev Tarrell spent 30 years building hunting apparel at Cabela’s. When he left, he had one goal: design gear specifically for the serious treestand bowhunter who can’t afford to make noise. Every fabric choice, every seam, every zipper pull is engineered around one question — is it silent enough?

“This hoodie, just as your other items, is simply the best. Again, I hunt in Alabama, which does get cold, and it flat out performs. Bibs, coats, gloves, whatever, just simply rocks.”

First sit rocking my new rw anorak 8hrs in the saddle with a 15-20mph cold wind in my face.

Garment feels a little heavy when you're packing it, but when you put it on it's all good. Also really like the way the marino fabric blends in, the light absorbency CoS touts is real.

The camo seems to adjust its color depending on available light. It's simply the best

First lite is now second place!

Ive used several different types and brands over the years from army surplus polypropylene, under armoir cold gear and recently first lite. And let me tell you something they all left me wanting, either it was synthetic leaving me damp from sweat then cold, or big name brands with big prices being much thinner then expected. These things rock! Warm, wick sweat away fast, and much warmer than my previous favorite from first lite. I got the pants and hoodie and was so bery glad I did! Fit is awesome and im already looking into their light weight options for next spring and early fall!

    doesn't breathe

Well constructed hoody. I do not like the liner, does not breathe and wick moisture like wool can, due to the liner. Make a heavy duty wool hoody without a liner!
